Capability overview

Built around a verifiable operating model.

CutoverGrid connects to source-control systems with narrowly scoped permissions and builds an authoritative inventory of repositories, branches, workspaces, manifests, lockfiles, delivery configuration, infrastructure definitions, and ownership signals. The result is a migration baseline grounded in the systems that engineers actually build and operate, rather than a manually maintained spreadsheet that begins drifting as soon as discovery ends.

Discovery is deliberately separated from change. Analysis workers receive only the access needed for the approved repositories, credentials are short-lived, and every analyzed state is linked to an exact source revision. Teams can see what was inspected, when it was inspected, and which evidence contributed to a finding while retaining control over repository scope, retention, and credential revocation.

How it works

From source context to operational control.

01

Authorize

Select the source-control organization and the repositories that belong to the migration boundary.

02

Discover

Identify branches, workspaces, delivery files, infrastructure modules, tests, and ownership signals.

03

Pin

Attach the assessment to exact commits so every conclusion can be reproduced later.

04

Control

Review access history, update scope, rotate credentials, or remove retained analysis data.

Evidence produced

Every decision remains inspectable.

The capability produces structured evidence that can be reviewed by engineers and reused by downstream planning and verification.

Repository inventory

Repository, default branch, visibility, archive state, and migration inclusion.

Revision identity

Commit SHA and branch context for every analyzed artifact.

Technical boundary

Files, workspaces, deployables, pipelines, and infrastructure discovered in scope.

Access record

Connection, scan, retention, and deletion activity available for review.

Operational impact

Why this capability matters.

Migration planning starts with a trustworthy system boundary. Read-only discovery lets platform teams move quickly without asking every service owner to assemble an inventory by hand, while security teams retain a clear access model that does not permit CutoverGrid to modify source code.
